Joel Williams is the kind of voice that feels like it’s always been part of North Georgia mornings… because, in many ways, it has.
Currently co-hosting the Joel & Rebecca Morning Show on My Country 99.3 WCON alongside Rebecca Biddy, Joel brings decades of experience, quick wit, and genuine connection to listeners across the region. His radio journey began as a senior in high school at his hometown station in Clarksville, launching a career that would take him through Gainesville, Athens, Greenville, Richmond, and Atlanta… before bringing him back home to the community he knows best.
Beyond the studio, Joel has been deeply woven into the fabric of local sports and community life. He spent 10 seasons as a stadium producer for the University of Georgia football network, helping bring game day energy to life for Bulldog fans. His passion for sports continues with high school play-by-play, where he’s called numerous state championship games in football, basketball, and baseball… capturing moments that families remember for a lifetime.
Joel’s roots run even deeper. Raised in the produce business through his father’s retail and wholesale operation, he still keeps one foot in that world today with a longtime side role at Jaemor Farms in Alto, where he’s been helping customers with seasonal fruits and plants since 2013. It’s just another way he stays connected to the people and traditions of North Georgia.
Off the air, Joel’s story is anchored in family and faith. He’s married to his wife B.J., whom he met on a blind date while both were pursuing radio careers… proof that sometimes the best signals come in loud and clear. Together they have two daughters, Meredith and Paige, along with two grandchildren, Leo and Linen-Jane, who keep life fun, busy, and full of perspective.
Joel lives in Gainesville and is a member of Riverbend Baptist Church. Whether he’s behind the mic, on the sidelines, or helping someone pick out the perfect peaches, Joel Williams brings authenticity, heart, and a lifetime of local connection to everything he does.

A proud University of Georgia alumna, Rebecca earned not one but two degrees… all while fully embracing the Bulldog spirit (and perfecting the fine art of tailgating along the way). Her love for storytelling and connecting with people led her into radio, where she’s spent more than a decade building a reputation for authenticity, humor, and a voice that feels like a friend you’ve known forever.
With 12 years of radio experience, Rebecca has a natural ability to turn everyday moments into relatable, laugh-out-loud conversations. Whether she’s swapping stories with Joel Williams, engaging listeners on the Talk & Text Line, or adding her signature spark to the morning show, she brings a warmth and energy that helps set the tone for the entire day.
Off the air, Rebecca’s world is just as full and vibrant. She’s a devoted wife and mom to three energetic sons who keep life moving at full speed and provide plenty of real-life material for the show. She also serves as Director of Children’s Ministries at her church, where her passion for faith, family, and fun shines just as brightly as it does on the radio.
Deeply rooted in her community and guided by a joyful spirit, Rebecca Biddy is proof that mornings can be meaningful, uplifting, and a whole lot of fun… especially when you’re starting them with the music that made country great.
